Bleeding Knees Club Album Out April 17th

We’re very excited to announce that we’ll be releasing the debut album from Australia’s Bleeding Knees Club, titled Nothing To Do, on April 17th. The garage-punk duo will be coming to America before that, hitting SXSW in Austin as well as preview dates in New York and Los Angeles.

Proclaimed as one of NME’s “50 Best New Bands of 2011″ and in heavy rotation on Triple J radio in Australia, Alex Malane and Jordan Wall have formed one of the biggest acts to break from Australia’s Gold Coast, epitomized by surf, sun and late night beach bonfires. Bleeding Knees Club encapsulate that scene with their raucous anthems that are meant to ignite fire, instigate youth revolt and get the girl. Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes has called their songs “amazing…classic songwriting” while Dazed & Confused gushed about their “classic rock songs about girls” and NME called them “pretty gnarly, pretty unpretty and totally goddam fun”. Their videos for ‘Teenage Girls’ and ‘Bad Guys’ perfectly portray their boyish antics of lust, love and adventure while new songs like ‘Beach Slut’, ‘Lipstick’, ‘Let It Go’ and title track ‘Nothing To Do’ show their sweet and cheeky side. Nothing To Do is a modern take modern take on a classic sound and Bleeding Knees Club will bring it to life with a lively stage show that includes drummer, Brett Jansch – see dates below.

“Alex Wall (drums) and Jordan Malane (guitar) play the kind of skuzz rock that’s perfectly suited to their moniker – literally two chords, lots of deathly loud hi-hat, the odd screeching one-note guitar solo and a load of yelps about being young and not giving a fuck.” -NME
